Big Money Challenge: Official Terms & Conditions
Last updated: Nov 4, 2026
The Short Version
This summary is for convenience. If it conflicts with the full Terms below, the full Terms control.
- The Big Money Challenge runs from Nov 5, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Dec 3, 2026, 12:00 AM ET. It has these parts: the Main Competition, the Weekly Competitions, the Spotlight Competitions, any Surprise Rounds Scatter announces, and the Collection Competition.
- You are entered automatically when your shill link refers a Qualifying Sale during a competition window. Entry is free. You must be a human, at least 18 years old. Shill links created before the challenge starts still count.
- Only marketplace sales on scatter.art count: a buyer who buys a listing, or a seller who accepts an offer, through your shill link. Mints do not count.
- The Main Competition ranks by Affiliate Volume. Every other competition ranks by the measure named for it in Section 7. Canceled, reversed, self-referred, and wash-traded sales do not count.
- If you use more than one account, only your single best-performing account is eligible. Accounts cannot be combined.
- Main Competition prizes are $100,000 / $25,000 / $10,000. Each week's Weekly prizes are $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000. Prizes are paid in USDC.
- You can win only one Weekly prize, but a Weekly winner can still win the Main Competition.
- In the Collection Competition, Scatter will spend up to $50,000 / $20,000 / $10,000 buying the lowest-priced listed NFTs from the 3 collections with the most Affiliate Volume.
- Winners must submit a completed KYC form within one week of being announced, or the prize is forfeited. Prizes are paid to the winning wallet within 48 hours after KYC is verified. (Sorry, but we cannot send money to North Korea.)
- Scatter's records are final. Send disputes to info@scatter.art.
1. Sponsor and Agreement to These Terms
The Big Money Challenge (the "Contest") is sponsored by Gum Inc., which operates scatter.art ("Scatter," "we," or "us"), 3 Germay Dr, Unit 4 #1282, Wilmington, DE 19804, United States.
By creating a shill link (your Scatter affiliate link, also called a Shill Code) on scatter.art or otherwise taking part in the Contest, you (a "Contestant") agree to these Official Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). You also agree that Scatter's decisions on all Contest matters are final and binding.
Entry is free. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
2. Eligibility
To take part, you must:
- be an individual human being. Businesses, organizations, bots, scripts, and other automated systems may not enter;
- be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher;
- not reside in, be located in, or be a citizen of any country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and not appear on any U.S. government sanctions list (such as OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals list);
- have a Scatter affiliate account in good standing; and
- be able to complete Scatter's KYC (Know Your Customer) verification if you win.
Employees and contractors. Employees and contractors of Gum Inc. and Scatter, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their spouses) and household members, may not win or receive prizes. Their Affiliate Volume is excluded from all rankings, including the Collection Competition.
The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. You are responsible for making sure your participation complies with the laws that apply to you.
3. How to Enter
You are entered automatically when your shill link refers a Qualifying Sale during a competition window. There is no separate registration and no entry fee.
- Only sales completed during a competition window count, no matter when your shill link was created.
- Each person is one Contestant, even if they use several wallets (see Section 5.4).
- Contest prizes are in addition to the shill earnings you receive under the Affiliate Program Terms.
4. Contest Schedule
All times are U.S. Eastern Time (ET). Each window includes its start time and runs until, but not including, its end time. A sale counts in a window only if it is completed within that window. The full period from Nov 5, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Dec 3, 2026, 12:00 AM ET is the "Contest Period."
- Main Competition: Nov 5, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Dec 3, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Collection Competition: Nov 5, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Dec 3, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Weekly Competition, Week 1: Nov 5, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Nov 12, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Weekly Competition, Week 2: Nov 12, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Nov 19, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Weekly Competition, Week 3: Nov 19, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Nov 26, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Weekly Competition, Week 4: Nov 26, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Dec 3, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Spotlight Competition, Week 2: Nov 12, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Nov 19, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
- Spotlight Competition, Week 4: Nov 26, 2026, 12:00 AM ET to Dec 3, 2026, 12:00 AM ET
Scatter may add Surprise Rounds during the Contest Period. Each one is announced on the leaderboard before it starts and listed here with its window, measure, and prizes.
Scatter aims to announce each competition's winners the day after its window ends. Announcement dates are targets. Scatter may delay an announcement if verification takes longer.
5. How Performance Is Measured
5.1 Qualifying Sales. A "Qualifying Sale" is a sale of an NFT on the scatter.art marketplace that:
- is referred by your shill link, as tracked by Scatter's affiliate system: the buyer bought a listing, or the seller accepted an offer, through your link;
- is completed (fully settled) within the relevant competition window; and
- is not canceled, reversed, refunded, or excluded under these Terms.
Mints do not count. Pending, failed, canceled, and reversed transactions do not count.
5.2 Affiliate Volume. Your "Affiliate Volume" is the total USD value of your Qualifying Sales within a competition window. Sales priced in another currency (such as ETH) are converted to USD at the exchange rate at the time the sale is completed, as recorded by Scatter. A sale Scatter cannot price in USD still counts toward the other measures below but adds no Affiliate Volume.
5.3 Other measures. Some competitions rank by one of these measures instead, named for each in Section 7:
- Unique Collections Shilled: the number of different collections among your Qualifying Sales within a competition window.
- Unique Shills: the number of different wallets that made Qualifying Sales through your shill link within a competition window.
5.4 Multiple accounts. You may use more than one account, but only your single best-performing account counts toward your ranking in each competition. Multiple wallets per account are allowed. Results from different accounts cannot be combined. If Scatter determines that several accounts are controlled by the same person, only that person's highest-ranking account is eligible, and the others are removed from the rankings.
5.5 Excluded sales. The following never count toward any ranking:
- self-referrals, meaning purchases made through your link by you, by a wallet you control, or by anyone acting on your behalf;
- wash trades, meaning trades between related or coordinated wallets, or trades without a genuine change of ownership;
- sales generated by bots, scripts, or other automated systems; and
- any sale that results from conduct prohibited in Section 10.
Scatter may exclude any sale it reasonably believes is not a genuine purchase.
5.6 Ties. If two Contestants or collections have the same total on a competition's measure, the one that reached that total first ranks higher.
5.7 Scatter's records are final. Rankings, Affiliate Volume, the other measures, and exchange rates are determined solely from Scatter's records. Screenshots, third-party dashboards, and your own calculations do not override them.
6. Leaderboard
Scatter will publish a leaderboard at scatter.art/shillboard. The leaderboard is for information only and is not an official ranking.
It may be delayed, may leave out sales that are still settling or under review, and may change as sales are verified or excluded. Final rankings are set after verification and may differ from the leaderboard. A leaderboard error does not entitle anyone to a prize.
7. Prizes
All individual prizes are paid in USDC. A prize shown in dollars means the same number of USDC.
7.1 Main Competition. The 3 Contestants with the highest Affiliate Volume over the full Contest Period win:
- 1st: $100,000
- 2nd: $25,000
- 3rd: $10,000
7.2 Weekly Competitions. Each Weekly Competition ranks Contestants by its measure within its week. The Contestants with the highest totals win:
- Week 1, ranked by Affiliate Volume: $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
- Week 2, ranked by Affiliate Volume: $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
- Week 3, ranked by Affiliate Volume: $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
- Week 4, ranked by Affiliate Volume: $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
Each Contestant can win only one Weekly prize during the Contest. Once you are announced as a Weekly winner, you are left out of the rankings for all later weeks, and the next eligible Contestant moves up in your place. Weekly winners remain eligible for the Main Competition.
7.3 Spotlight Competitions. Each Spotlight Competition ranks Contestants by its own measure within its window. The Contestants with the highest totals win:
- Week 2, ranked by Unique Collections Shilled: $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
- Week 4, ranked by Unique Shills: $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
Spotlight winners can win more than one Spotlight prize and remain eligible for every other competition.
7.4 Surprise Rounds. No Surprise Rounds have been announced yet. Each one is listed here with its measure and prizes when Scatter announces it.
7.5 Collection Competition. The 3 NFT collections with the highest total Affiliate Volume over the Contest Period win. A collection's total counts all Qualifying Sales of NFTs from that collection, across all eligible Contestants.
- 1st: Scatter purchases up to $50,000 of NFTs from the collection
- 2nd: Scatter purchases up to $20,000 of NFTs from the collection
- 3rd: Scatter purchases up to $10,000 of NFTs from the collection
How the Collection prize works:
- Eligible collections: any collection listed on scatter.art.
- Timing: Scatter will make the purchases within 7 days after the Collection Competition's winners are announced.
- What Scatter buys: the lowest-priced NFTs from the winning collection listed for sale on scatter.art, based on listings active at the time of purchase.
8. Winner Verification and KYC
Winners are announced by username, handle, or wallet address after each window ends (Section 4). Announced winners are potential winners until Scatter verifies them.
- Each potential winner must submit a completed KYC form within one week (7 days) after their win is announced, by 11:59:59 PM ET on the seventh day.
- If the completed form is not received in time, the prize is forfeited and is not awarded to anyone else.
- Scatter may ask for more information, such as identity documents, proof that you control the winning wallet, or tax forms. Failing to provide it, or failing KYC, forfeits the prize.
- Scatter may disqualify a potential winner who turns out to be ineligible or in violation of these Terms.
KYC information is handled under Scatter's Privacy Policy.
9. Prize Payment
- Prizes are paid in USDC on the Ethereum network.
- Prizes are paid only to the winning wallet, meaning the wallet whose Qualifying Sales earned the prize. Scatter will not pay to any other wallet.
- Scatter will send payment within 48 hours after it verifies the winner's completed KYC. Network congestion or other issues outside Scatter's control may cause delays.
- Scatter pays the network (gas) fees for sending the prize.
- Blockchain transfers are final. Scatter is not responsible for lost keys, compromised wallets, or a wallet that cannot receive USDC on that network.
- Prizes are stated in USDC. Scatter is not responsible for changes in the value of USDC.
10. Prohibited Conduct
While taking part in the Contest, you may not:
- use bots, scripts, or any automated system to create links, generate traffic, make purchases, or promote;
- spam, including bulk or unsolicited messages, comments, or posts;
- send unsolicited direct messages (DMs);
- make false or misleading claims about Scatter, the Contest, any NFT, or any collection;
- suggest that NFTs are investments, will gain value, or will produce a profit, including by referring to the Collection Competition purchases;
- self-refer, or have anyone buy through your link on your behalf;
- wash trade, or coordinate trades between wallets to inflate volume;
- collude with others to manipulate rankings;
- promote Scatter without clearly disclosing that you are a paid affiliate; or
- violate Scatter's Terms of Service, the Affiliate Program Terms, or any law.
11. Disqualification and Prize Clawback
Scatter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Contestant, exclude any sale, or disqualify any collection if it believes fraud, a violation of these Terms, or other misconduct has occurred. Disqualification can apply to every competition in the Contest.
If fraud or a rule violation comes to light after a prize is paid, Scatter may require the prize to be returned, and the Contestant must return it promptly on request. Scatter may also take action under its Terms of Service and Affiliate Program Terms, including suspending the affiliate account.
Prizes lost through disqualification are not awarded to anyone else.
12. Taxes
Winners are solely responsible for all taxes on their prizes. Scatter may collect tax information (such as IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN) as part of KYC, may report prize payments to tax authorities, and may withhold taxes where the law requires.
13. Publicity
By taking part, you agree that Scatter may display rankings and announce winners using your username, handle, or wallet address. This may appear on scatter.art, social media, and other channels, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
14. Changes, Suspension, and Cancellation
Scatter may change these Terms, or change, pause, extend, or cancel the Contest or any competition, at any time and for any reason or no reason. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and continuing to take part means you accept them.
If a competition is canceled or suspended, Scatter may award some, all, or none of its prizes, in its sole discretion. This may include awarding prizes based on rankings at the time of cancellation.
15. Disputes
Before filing a dispute, please check Section 5 and the FAQ below. Most questions about rankings are answered there.
To dispute a result, email info@scatter.art with the subject line "Big Money Challenge Dispute" and include:
- your username or handle and your wallet address(es);
- which competition (and which round, if it has several) the dispute concerns; and
- what you believe is wrong, with any transaction hashes that support it.
Disputes must be received within 7 days after the winners of the relevant competition are announced. Late disputes will not be considered. Scatter will review each timely dispute, and its decision is final and binding.
16. Disclaimers, Release, and Limitation of Liability
No warranty. The Contest is provided "as is." Scatter is not responsible for technical failures, tracking or attribution errors, blockchain network problems, delayed or failed transactions, wallet errors, or errors in the leaderboard or announcements.
Not investment advice. Nothing about the Contest is investment, financial, or tax advice. NFTs carry risk, and Scatter makes no promise about the value of any NFT.
Release. To the extent permitted by law, by taking part you release Gum Inc., Scatter, and their officers, employees, contractors, and agents from all claims arising from the Contest or from receiving or using a prize.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scatter is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Scatter's total liability for any claim arising from the Contest will not exceed the value of any prize you were actually awarded. Where the law does not allow these limits, they apply to the extent the law allows.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and the Contest are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any legal action arising from the Contest must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
